Raspberry Americano with Coffee Ice Cubes

Iced coffee drinks can be tricky in the summer because the warm weather melts the ice almost immediately. You might not notice it as much with iced lattes, but it becomes very obvious with iced americanos. When the ice cubes melt, they water down the americano, and it starts to taste less and less like espresso as the minutes pass.

Don’t let this stop you. Use this creative spring coffee drinks idea instead! Freeze iced coffee inside of ice cube trays. When the ice cubes melt, it will be iced coffee instead of water. This way, your iced americano will retain its delicious espresso flavor the entire time.

You will need…

  • Raspberry syrup
  • Two shots of espresso
  • Iced coffee
  • Ice cube trays
  • Water

  1. The day before you make the drink, take out an ice cube tray.
  2. Pour iced coffee into the empty ice cube spaces.
  3. Pull two shots of espresso to your liking.
  4. While the shots are brewing, add a pump of raspberry syrup to your twelve-ounce cup.
